Senior Platform Engineer, forward deployed

A forward deployed engineering role sitting between platform engineering, solutions engineering and professional services. You work alongside enterprise customers from first deployment through to production adoption, solving hard infrastructure problems and feeding what you learn back into the product. You will spend as much time understanding customer environments as writing automation. This is not an internal DevOps job.

• Deploying and operationalising the platform inside customer environments
• Technical discovery sessions and implementation planning
• Deployment architectures across cloud, hybrid and on-premises, including hardened infrastructure
• Repeatable deployment automation using Infrastructure as Code and GitOps
• Troubleshooting production issues across infrastructure, networking, Kubernetes and applications
• Turning customer pain points into feedback for product and engineering

• Production Kubernetes administration: cluster deployment, upgrades, lifecycle, Helm, ingress, RBAC, storage and networking
• GitOps with Argo CD, FluxCD, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI
• Terraform, Ansible and configuration management
• Strong production experience on AWS, Azure or GCP
• Excellent Linux and networking, able to diagnose rather than escalate
• Python and Bash; Go, Java or .NET an advantage
• Direct enterprise customer delivery: implementation, workshops, incident resolution
